Basic whole Chicken roast Dinner

Could have crisped up the cooked roast potatoes on a dry Baking Tray at a very high oven heat - during the resting of the cooked roasted chicken out of the oven . The cooking methods were basic and the Chicken Stock Gravy was very basic - just 450ml of boiling hot water too One Knorr Chicken Stock Cube.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 6.Can use a Roasting Tin,but I used my deep large Skillet - did heat up a generous amount of Vegetable Oil on the stove within my Skillet and then I washed the raw whole chicken inside and out - under the cold water tap and then placed the top of the chicken into the hot Vegetable Oil first and then turned it over.I seasoned the top chicken skin with a generous amount of salt and ground white pepper and then added the potatoes around the sides.Put Kitchen Foil on.

* Step 2

Roast for 1 hour and 30 minutes and then take the Kitchen Foil off - maybe baste the top of the chicken and then allow the chicken skin on top too dry out and crisp up maybe a little and then allow to rest the cooked roasted chicken in a large deep Mixing Bowl and then place the used Kitchen Foil over the top. Rest it for 30 minutes.

* Step 3

Boil cook carrots for about 40 minutes. With 30 minutes too go - place Skillet with the roasted potatoes in - on a very high hob heat and too deep fry better add more Vegetable Oil and then hopefully you may have crisped up the cooked roasted potatoes,they are still nice if you don't manage to make them crispy.Make Chicken Stock Gravy in a 500ml mug,stir - dissolve the One Knorr Chicken Stock Cube with the use of boiling hot water from the Kettle,or alternatively use the hot carrot water.

* Step 4

Place only Chicken Crown (2 chick. Breasts) on the Dinner Plate first and then use a slotted spoon too add the roasted potatoes and carrots onto the Plate as well.Drink stock along with eating it. Save the rest of the chicken maybe - for a chicken sandwich later.
