Khavyachi poli (milk solids roti)

Khavyachi poli (milk solids roti)

Ingredient

Cooking time :

2 cups

wheat flour

1 cup

khoa/mava

3/4 cup

sugar

2 tbsp

oil

2 tbsp

ghee

1 pinch

salt

as needed

water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mix oil and salt in the wheat flour and knead a soft dough adding water as needed. Set aside for 10 mins.

* Step 2

Heat a nonstick pan and add 1 tsp of ghee and khoa. Cook it for a few mins. Now add sugar and cook it again until it is soft and forms a ball. The color of this mixture is golden brown when ready.

* Step 3

Add cardamom powder to this mixture.

* Step 4

Make 5-6 balls of this mixture.

* Step 5

Roll small flat discs of the wheat flour dough. Fill it with one portion of khoa filling. Roll this using the rice flour for dusting.

* Step 6

Roast on the tava until crisp.

* Step 7

Cool and serve with ghee or milk.
