Cream of corn soup from the settlement cookbook 1965

Ingredient

4 cups

hot milk

1 slice

Onion

1 (12 oz)

can kernal corn

2 cups

water

2 tbs

butter

2 tbs

flour

1 tsp

salt

1/8 tsp

white pepper

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Beat the milk and onion, then remove onion. Cup the corn or rub through a sieve, and cook it with the water 20 minutes.

* Step 2

Melt the butter, add the flour, and when bubbling, add first 2/3 cup, then the rest of the milk gradually; com till slightly thickened. Add the corn, salt and pepper.

* Step 3

Top with whipped cream sprinkled with popcorn.
