Kalamarakia in oil with spices

This recipe for kalamarakia (calamari) is from a book by S. Skoura.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash, clean the calamari and cut them into thick rings.

* Step 2

Set them aside to strain and coat them in flour.

* Step 3

Heat the oil in a large frying pan.

* Step 4

Add the calamari, the thyme, the marjoram, the parsley, the bay leaves, the rosemary, the garlic and stir for about 7-9 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.

* Step 5

Garnish the calamari with the lemon slices and serve.
