Pear spoon sweet
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Peel the pears and if they are large, cut them in half. If they are small, leave them whole as they are so that they don't break apart while boiling and remove the seeds from the opposite side of the stem. Place them in water and pour the juice of 1 lemon over them so that they don't turn brown.
* Step 2
Pour the 3 cups of water into a large pot. When the water starts boiling, strain the pears from the water with the lemon juice and add them to the pot. Let them simmer with the lid on for 10 minutes.
* Step 3
Add the sugar and if you like the peel of half a lemon or green pastry color, so that the pear gets a light green color.
* Step 4
Let them simmer for 15 minutes, remove from heat and set aside for 24 hours.
* Step 5
Then, add the glucose syrup or the juice of half a lemon and boil the spoon sweet until it thickens. Sterilize glass jars and fill them with the pear spoon sweet.
* Step 6
Allow it to sit for a while and serve!
