Kontosouvli in the fireplace

This kontosouvli (spit roasted pork) recipe is as good as any other similar recipe but what makes it different is that it was prepared in the fireplace over a normal fire without making a mess and of course, without having the smell permeate the house because my husband brought a portable stainless steel rotisserie and I would like to share this with you.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Start a fire in the fireplace and keep it going strong.

* Step 2

Wash and strain the meat.

* Step 3

Add the spices.

* Step 4

Pass the meat on the spit.

* Step 5

Place the spit on the rotisserie and turn it on, enjoying the warmth of the fireplace while waiting for the kontosouvli to roast!!!

* Step 6

In about an hour and a half the meat is ready to serve.

* Step 7

The meat got extremely tender and I served it with french fries and a green salad and it served four people.

* Step 8

The coming weekend I will try to roast a chicken and I will tell you my opinion.
