Ice Cream Bread

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

SELF RISING FLOUR: Combine all ingredients; store in tightly covered can or jar. Makes 1 pound of self-rising flour

* Step 2

Preheat oven to 350°F

* Step 3

Mix equal parts melted ice cream and self-rising flour. IMPORTANT: Melt the ice cream before you measure it a melted ice cream measures less than frozen ice cream.

* Step 4

Mix until the flour is moistened.

* Step 5

Bake for 30 minutes o

* Step 6

Spray pans with cooking spray. Spoon mixture into the greased pan.

* Step 7

Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

* Step 8

The basic recipe, done with vanilla ice cream is similar to shortcake.

* Step 9

OPTIONS: Add an egg if you wan to make ice cream bread lighter and fluffier, like pound cake. --- Add a tablespoon of sugar if you want it sweeter. --- Experiment with different flavours of ice cream.
