Beef Stew - slow-cooker

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Put all ingredients in crock pot except frozen peas.

* Step 2

Cook on high (325 degrees) one hour, and then stir. Cook on low (225 degrees) for 7 hours. You may want to stir halfway through the cooking time.

* Step 3

Add frozen peas & allow just enough time to heat through (5 or 10 minutes). Serve with gluten-free crackers or rolls.

* Step 4

* SOUP BONE: A roasted soup bone, shank or beef neck bones adds a beefy flavour and makes the gravy a nice brown. Put the soup bone(s) in a small open baking dish &stick it in the oven at 350°F for an a hour or two. If you prefer you don`t have to roast the bone ahead of time. Just add it along with the ingredients in your crockpot. Make sure to "bury" it in liquid so it forms the brown gravy, If you don`t use a soup bone, add a package of brown gravy mix.
