Beetroot Leaves Patra
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash all the beet root leaves and keep aside
* Step 2
Take all the other ingredients
* Step 3
Take a bowl add besan and all dry masala, tamarind chutney and salt. Mix well using small amounts of water making it a smooth batter
* Step 4
Place one beet root leaves and apply the batter on top
* Step 5
Place another beet root leaf on top and again apply the batter
* Step 6
Now add the third beet root leaf on top and again place the batter on top
* Step 7
Prepare all the other leaves in layers of 3 and roll them
* Step 8
Take a pan add water and place a plate on top. Keep aside for heating
* Step 9
Once heated, place the beetroot leaves rolls on top and steam for 10-15 mins
* Step 10
Once cooked take it out and let it cool down
* Step 11
Once cooled cut into big pieces
* Step 12
Take a another pan add some oil and let it heat up
* Step 13
Next shallow fry all the patras you can even deep fry
* Step 14
Take it out in the bowl. Use another pan and add a little bit of oil, and add white sesame seeds, whole red chilli, and bay leaf.
* Step 15
Once cracklings add the tadka on top of the patra
* Step 16
Garnish with coriander leaves and desecrated coconuts. Enjoy your beet root leaves patra with chutney or any sauce or tea.
