Tortilla Chicken Shawarma

#GA4 #week6 Tortillas And Shawarma together. I tried my hands at this one way back in 2016. From then, I have never looked back as it worked just the way I had contemplated. A lovely combination recipe by me for you all Shawarma lovers. Bringing to you an altogether sensational version of Shawarma was not an easy task for me as I feared about the texture as well as the whole outcome of it. This was a bit difficult but it's all worthwhile in the end dear friends. I hope i did justice to this amazing dish from the Middle Eastern Cuisine that is loved by many across the Globe. So let's get down to the actual preparations without wasting much of your precious time.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Make a smooth dough out of the ingredients listed under it. Set aside for atleast 30 minutes.

* Step 2

Roll into thin chapatis or rotis and do not roast much. You can check under the name of Homemade Flour Tortillas on my profile for the complete recipe of the Tortillas. Stack them up and keep them covered. Prepare tahini and garlic sauces well in advance.

* Step 3

Blend all the ingredients listed under garlic sauce by adding oil little at a time until creamish texture is obtained. Make tahini sauce also by blending and adding little water at a time until it is thick.

* Step 4

For the chicken filling now. Marinade the chicken with all the ingredients and leave it overnight in the refrigerator. Next morning just stir fry it until 7 to 8 minutes. It will be done. Juicy and tender chicken strips are ready for the shawarma.

* Step 5

Now for the assembling, do it as per your choice. Tahini first or garlic sauce first or vice-versa. For the Pickled Cucumbers, soak them in Vinegar for over an hour. Similarly Carrots, Turnips and Radishes also can be soaked. You can assemble the Shawarma just the way you want. Enjoy!
