South Indian 🥥Coconut Chutney

A chutney that is an irreplaceable accompaniment for SI varieties

Ingredient

1/2-3/4 cup

dariya

1 tsp

salt

1/2 glass

water

1 tsp

rai

1 tsp

urad dal

1/4 tsp

hing

1 tsp

ghee/oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

First, break open fresh coconut and cut into pieces. Remove the brown portion.

Add in green chillies, salt and some water and churn again.

* Step 3

Now mix in the dariya powder and water as required and churn to form a smooth chutney.

* Step 4

For Tempering: In 1 tbsp oil add rai. When it splitters, add urad dal. When pinkish, add in curry leaves and hing. Switch off.

* Step 5

Add the tempering to the chutney. This enhances the taste of the chutney.
