Aam Mouri Tel Koi

#SD4 Koi maach is a delicious fish that tastes yummy in this somewhat thick and oily broth based recipe. The unique licorice flavour of fennel and tangy taste of mango makes the traditional Tel koi aromatic and unique!

Ingredient

Salt

1/4 tsp

fennel seeds

1/4 tsp

Cumin seeds

5 tbsp

Mustard oil

As Per Taste

Sugar

as required

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Smear the fish with turmeric, salt, and chili powder and fry both sides till golden brown. Keep aside

* Step 2

Make a paste of fennel, mango, ginger, and green chilies.

* Step 3

Heat mustard oil. Temper with ¼ tsp fennel and cumin seeds.

* Step 4

Now add the paste and turmeric and salt along with it. Cook till oil separates.

* Step 5

Add warm water, and bring to boil. Add the fish and cook till done and the oil separates on the sides of the pan.

* Step 6

Adjust salt and sugar to taste. Add garam masala powder.

* Step 7

Let the curry soak the flavor for a while. Turn off the heat.

* Step 8

Mix well and give some standing time.

* Step 9

Remove from heat, sprinkle some grated raw mango and serve with rice.
