Kala chana – Ashtami Prasad, chana also known as sukha Kala chana, is a low-calorie, high-protein dish that has a ton of flavor and is completely gluten-free and vegan. This healthy and nutritious recipe is prepared with just a handful of ingredients that are already available in our kitchen.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash and Soak black chana overnight.
* Step 2
In the morning, transfer it in a pressure cooker and pressure cook till 7-8 whistles. Switch off the flame and let pressure releases automatically.
* Step 3
Now heat oil in a wok. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add asafoetida and saute for 30 seconds. Add grated ginger and saute for 1 minutes.
* Step 4
Now add salt, red chilli, coriander and mango powder and saute for 30 seconds.
* Step 5
Now add black chana in this tempering and saute for 10 minutes or till water gets evaporated. Now switch off the flame.
* Step 6
Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
