Black Chana Curry with fried rice

#This yummy family recipe came to me from my mother-in-law. Her recipes are always simple, easy and delectable. This kala chana curry require just 30 minutes of active time to make. My family like it with fried rice.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash and Soak black chana overnight.
* Step 2
Transfer it in a pressure cooker and add salt and pressure cook till 5 minutes after first whistle. Switch off the flame and let pressure releases automatically.
* Step 3
Wash, peel and Grind onio, tomato, ginger, garlic and green chilli to a smooth paste.
* Step 4
Heat cooking oil in a wok. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add masala paste (made at step 3) and cook on low flame for 2 minutes. Now Add salt, red chilli, turmeric and coriander seeds powder and mix well. Cook on low flame till oil separates from masala.
* Step 5
Add kasuri methi and mix well.
* Step 6
Now transfer this masala in pressure cooker in which chhole are boiled. Mix well. Place the lid and again cook for 3 minutes after first whistle. Let pressure releases automatically.
* Step 7
Open the lid. Add garam masala and chopped coriander leaves and mix.
* Step 8
Wash and soak rice for 15 minutes.
* Step 9
Heat cooking oil in separate pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions and fry till golden. Add soaked rice, salt, red chilli powder and water and mix. Place the lid and pressure cook till 2 whistles and switch off the flame and let pressure releases automatically.
* Step 10
Open the lid and stir rice gently.
* Step 11
Arrange in serving plate and serve hot with chutney and salad. It is a very healthy and winter special #lunch.
