Paneer biryani is a mildly spiced and delicately flavored dum biryani recipe. Simply flavorful paneer biryani that pairs beautifully with any raita. A dum cooked biryani takes time to make but the results are always awesome.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Peel, Wash and chop onions lengthwise. Grate tomatoes and make puree.
* Step 2
Cut paneer in cubes. Marinate paneer with salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well and keep aside for 15 minutes. Heat ghee on a griddle and shallow fry till crispie golden from both sides and remove in a plate.
* Step 3
Wash and Soak rice in water for 10 minutes. Now transfer it in a pressure cooker. Add salt, bay leaf, black pepper seeds, cloves and cinnamon stick. Cover the lid and pressure cook till 1 whistle. Release the pressure and keep aside.
* Step 4
Heat ghee in a wok. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put bay leaf and saite for 30 seconds. Add black pepper seeds, cloves and cinnamon stick and saute for 30 seconds. Now add chopped onions.
* Step 5
Fry onions till golden brown colour.
* Step 6
Add tomato puree, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well and cook till oil leaves the sides.
* Step 7
Now add marinated and fry paneer init. Add 1/2 bowl of water and cook on low for 2-3 minutes. Remove the bay leaf from it.
* Step 8
Let the paneer gets soften and mixes with the masala.
* Step 9
Now transfer cooked rice over paneer jhol and make a layer of rice over paneer jhol. Add butter over it. Cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
* Step 10
Now transfer it in a plate carefully. Serve hot with chutney or raita. It has a unique taste.
