Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash and Soak moong Daal for 1 hour.
* Step 2
Transfer it in a pressure cooker. Add water, salt and turmeric powder and pressure cook till 4 minutes after first whistle. Let pressure releases automatically.
* Step 3
Peel, Wash and chop onions. Grate ginger. Chop green chilli.
* Step 4
Heat ghee in a wok. Add finely chopped onions, ginger and green chilli. Cook till onion gets golden. Add chopped tomatoes.
* Step 5
Add red chilli powder, salt and garam masala and saute for 2-3 minutes.
* Step 6
Add kasuri methi and boiled dal and saute for 1 minute.
* Step 7
Now in a small pan heat ghee. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add red chilli powder.
* Step 8
Transfer this tempering in dal and cook for 2 minutes.
* Step 9
Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves with rice or chapatti as main course.
