California Farm Winter Chili Dinner- Meat and Non-Meat Versions

It is October, everything from the kitchen garden is ready to be processed, and a hearty bean chili stew is great for freezing in individual portions. This recipe makes five dinners from scratch.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cook half a cup of dry white beans: 2 cups beef broth or vegetable broth, piece of bacon or cashew blue cheese, half a lime, boil, simmer covered two hours, add water regularly. Cook half cup of red beans, same way, but three hours instead of two.

When beans are done, In dutch oven, Fry spices in olive oil till fragrant. Add onions, pepper, garlic, beef or mock beef, stir fry till beef is browned on all sides. Add tomato sauce, add beans in broth, stir thoroughly, simmer two hours.

Add grated cheese on top, Taste if you want to add salt, put in individual containers to freeze. Enjoy.
