Echor Dumpakht

#JackfruitDay It’s Jackfruit Day and I have home grown Jackfruits so how can I resist myself from cooking a Dumpakht which goes so well with Naan or Roti or Paratha

Ingredient

Cooking time :

Preparation time-30mins, Cooking time-45 mins
1/4 cup

Raisins

1/2 cup

yogurt

as per taste

Salt

as required

Ghee

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash the Echor and grease your palm to peel and cut the Echor into 1” pieces. Set aside. Wash and peel a potato and cut into pieces

* Step 2

Make a almond paste. In a bowl add Echor, almond paste, raisins, red chilli powder, salt and yogurt.

* Step 3

Mix well and marinate for 30 mins

* Step 4

In a wok heat ghee and add the marinated Echor. On low flame cook and stirring occasionally. Once cooked, and oil surfaces, set aside

* Step 5

Plate and enjoy with Naan or Parathe or Roti
