Punjabi Pakore Kadhi

Ingredient

Food ration :

Preparation time-10 mins, Cooking time-30 mins
1 cup

Besan

1/4 cup

buttermilk

as per taste

Salt

as needed

Oil to fry

1/2 tsp

cumin seeds

2 Tbsp

oil

2 Tbsp

ghee

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

For Pakore - in a bowl add Besan, grated onion, grated ginger, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, roasted crushed whole coriander seeds, buttermilk, salt and mix very well. Make Pakore

* Step 2

In a pan heat oil and fry 50% the Pakore. Set aside

* Step 3

In the same pan fry the Pakore until deep fried and set aside

* Step 4

For Kadhi - in a wok heat oil and ghee, add cumin seeds, whole red chilli. Add ginger - garlic paste and fry for 2-3 mins. Add whole coriander seeds roasted and roughly crushed and add grated onion

* Step 5

Cook until onion is softened and then add chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt.

* Step 6

Cook well until oil surfaces and add buttermilk. Cook on low flame

* Step 7

When buttermilk starts to boil, add chopped coriander leaves. Set aside

* Step 8

Add Kadhi in a bowl, add Pakore and serve with Rice
