Blackened Chicken

Blackened Chicken

Ingredient

1/4 cup

Lemon Pepper

1 1/2 Tbsp

Garlic Salt

1/2 tsp

cayenne

1/2 tsp

white pepper

1/2 tsp

onion powder

1 stick

butter

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat oven to 450°F

* Step 2

Mix all items for seasoning together and rub on chicken breasts

* Step 3

Bring pan to medium high heat

* Step 4

Add oil then add chicken

* Step 5

Sear all sides of chicken and take off pan (may have to do multiple batches depending on pan size)

* Step 6

Once all breasts are seared turn down to medium heat add butter, garlic, and thyme to pan. Lightly stir til butter is melted.

* Step 7

Add chicken back to pan and baste.

* Step 8

Take chicken out of pan and add to baking pan (cover with aluminum foil) and put in oven for 15-18 minutes.

* Step 9

Take chicken out of oven and let rest for 2 minutes.
