Creamy Potato Leek Soup
I am a fan of using these premade soup mixes as "soup starters" for my own recipes! 😏😉👌😎 Most of my family members really enjoy potato soups, so I decided to spice it up a bit and make my own for them! 👏👍👍 This was filling, yummy, & warming! 🥰
Ingredient
Food ration :
6-10 servings
Cooking time :
1 hr 30 mins
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Begin by adding water to a large pot over high heat. Bring to a boil.
* Step 2
Next, add in red onion, leeks, & parsley. Also, stir in 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, & 1 tsp garlic salt. Continue to boil for 20 minutes. Stir.
* Step 3
Then, add in all of your potatoes. (I used diced this time but sliced, julienned, or any style cut of potato that you like will work just fine. 😎👌 Continue to boil for 30 minutes more. Stirring about every 10-15 minutes.
* Step 4
Finally, reduce heat to a simmer & whisk in your "creamy potato" soup mix. Then add, the remaining teaspoons of salt, pepper, & garlic salt. As well as your onion powder & cream of celery condensed soup.
* Step 5
Continue to simmer for 35-45 minutes or until potatoes are softened to preference. Stirring occasionally. When potatoes are ready, Serve & Enjoy!
