Shish Taouk (on a stovetop)
Although shish taouk, a Middle Eastern chicken kebab, is cooked in an outdoor grill, a quicker and easier stovetop method works nicely as well.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Cut the chicken into bite-sized chunks.
* Step 2
In a bowl, add all the ingredients except for the chicken and mix well.
* Step 3
Add the chicken and mix it thoroughly with the marinade. Cover it with a plastic wrap and marinate in the fridge overnight.
* Step 4
Lightly oil the pan on medium-high heat. Add the chicken on the heated pan and grill for about 10 minutes each side, until nicely browned.
* Step 5
Serve with lettuce, toasted pita bread, onions, and toum (lebanese garlic sauce), if desired.
