Murgh Ajwaini (Chicken with Carom Seeds)

#eua Murgh Ajwaini is one of the most popular and flavourful non-vegetarian dishes on an Indian menu.It has an unique flavour of carom seeds ( ajwain).Serve this with roti, paratha, fried rice or jeera rice for a special weekend dinner or at parties and relish!

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Marinate chicken with yogurt, Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder,cumin and coriander powder and 1/4 th tsp salt.Set aside for half hour.Heat oil in a pan or wok.Fry the sliced onion till golden brown and crisp.Cool and make a paste of it along with ginger garlic paste.Set aside.

* Step 2

Make a paste of 2 dry red chillies, cashewnuts,sesame seeds,malai or thick cream and 1 tsp ajwain.To the remaining oil from fried onions, add ghee and heat.Sprinkle half crushed whole garam masala and 1/41 tsp ajwain.When they start crackling Add.marinated chicken and fry few minutes. Add fried onion, ginger garlic paste and keep on frying till oil leaves sides.

* Step 3

Now add crushed dry red chillies,cashewnuts,sesame seeds paste along with thick cream or malai.Also add tomato puree, Korma Masala,kasoori methi and salt to taste.Stir continuously till oil releases from sides.

* Step 4

Add 2 cups water and cook on low to medium flame till chicken is cooked.Garnish with chopped coriander,green chillies and a drizzling of ghee.Serve hot with roti, paratha, fried rice or jeera rice on a special weekend dinner or at parties and relish!
