Lasooni Tendli

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash and chop off both ends of tendli or ivy gourd and slice them vertically into 4 pieces.Smear little salt and turmeric and stir fry few minutes in low flame.Set aside.
* Step 2
Heat 1 tbsp more oil and add 1 dry red chilli.Then add cumin and sesame seeds and a pinch of asafoetida.When they splutter,add garlic cloves and fry till light brown. Then add chopped onion and fry lightly.Add ginger garlic paste,salt and fry.Now add the tendli, chopped green chillies and rest of dry masalas and toss.If the masalas become very dry drizzle little water and cook covered for 5 minutes.Garnish with chopped coriander and sprinkle few sesame seeds.
* Step 3
Serve nutritious tendli or ivy gourd with roti,puri or as a side dish with steamed rice and dal in lunch or dinner.
