#5pm chha means tea and chuda means poha bhaja means Fry. It's very easy easy and homely dish of Odisha with less of oil.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Dry roast poha till it changes it's colour. Keep it aside

Take oil in pan. Add jeera,urad dal after cracking add chopped onion and potato. Add salt, chilis Kadi Patta,Dhaniya patta. Then add poha and Pinch of sugar mix well serve with tea.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash dal and rice

Put cooker on gas. add ginger, jeera and red chilli.add all vegetables and chilli after 10 min add rice and daal.

Add 2 cups water, salt, haldi and chilli powder. Take 2 wishtels. Cool it and serve hot.

Ingredient

1/2 cup

arhar dal,

1/4 cup

chana dal,

to taste,

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mix dals in a bowl, wash it, soak in water for 1/2 hour. Take a pressure cooker, add strained dal, haldi powder, salt, hing & ghee. Add 2.5 cup water.

Place the lid, give 5 whistles. Lower the flame, cook it for 5 minutes. Turn off the flame, allow it to depressurise naturally.

* Step 3

Open the lid after 5 minutes, give a stir. Dal should be a lil thick. Keep aside.

In the mean time, take a wok, add 1 tsp oil, heat it. Add garlic, saute it until light brown. In goes dry red chilli, saute it for a sec. Add washed methi patta & aloo, stir fry it for a minute. Add salt, give a stir. Cover it, cook it on low flame until almost cooked. open the lid, stir fry it on high flame till dry. Keep aside.

For 1st Tadka.... Take a wok, add ghee, heat it.

Add hing & zeera, let it splutter. Now add onion & green chilli, stir fry it until light brown.

In goes ginger, saute it for a sec.

Add tomato & salt, mix it well. Add very lil water, stir it. Lower the flame, cover it with the lid, cook it until tomato becomes mushy.

Open the lid, increase the flame, mix red chilli powder & garam masala powder with dahi, add in the masala. Mix it well.

Lower the flame, cover it again cook it until oil has oozed out.

Open the lid, increase the flame, add methi aloo, mix it well. In goes dal. Stir it.

U can add water as per ur desire. Cook it for 5 minutes. Stir in between.

Turn off the flame, take out in a serving bowl. Keep aside.

Fir 2 nd Tadka.... Take a tadka pan, add ghee, heat it.

In goes garlic, saute it until brown. Add dry red chilli, saute it until light brown.

Turn off the flame, add Kashmiri red chilli powder, immediately pour onto the dal.

* Step 1

Firstly strain soya chunks, transfer it to normal water, keep aside. Wash aloo, keep aside.

* Step 2

Take a pressure cooker, add oil, heat it.

* Step 3

Add ginger garlic paste, saute it until rawness is released, add very lil water to avoid burning.

* Step 4

Now add onion paste, stir it. Add a very lil water,mix it well.

* Step 5

Lower the flame, cover it with the lid, cook it until brown. Stir in between.

* Step 6

Open the lid, increase the flame, add haldi, dhania & red chilli powder, mix it well. Add lil water, stir fry it until oil has oozed out.

* Step 7

Now add tomato & salt, stir it for a sec. Lower the flame, cover it with the lid, cook it until tomato becomes mushy.

* Step 8

Open the lid, increase the flame, add aloo & squeezed soya chunks, stir it for a minute.

* Step 9

Add garam masala powder now, mix it well. Cover it again, lower the flame, cook it for 5 minutes. Stir in between.

* Step 10

Open the lid, increase the flame, stir fry it until oil has oozed out.

* Step 11

Add 2 cup boiled water, mix it well. Place the lid, give 4 whistles on high flame. Lower the flame, cook it for 7 minutes.

* Step 12

Turn off the flame, allow it to depressurise naturally.

* Step 13

Open the lid after 5 minutes, take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with chopped dhania patta.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take a wok, add 1 tbsp oil, heat it. Fry carrots, gobhi, aloo & bell pepper with very lil salt till light brown. Take out in a dish, keep aside.

* Step 2

Add more oil in the same wok, heat it. Add choti Elaichi & dalchini, sauté it for a while.

* Step 3

Now add ginger garlic paste, add lil water, sauté it for a while. Add onion paste, again add lil water, stir fry it for a while.

* Step 4

Lower the flame now, cover it with the lid, cook it until brown. Stir intermittently.

* Step 5

Mix haldi, dhania & red chilli powder with lil water, add in the masala. Increase the flame, cook it till oil has oozed out.

* Step 6

Now add tomato & salt, stir fry it for a while. Add kaju badam paste, mix it well. Now add all the veggies, give a stir.

* Step 7

Lower the flame now, add butter & fresh cream, stir fry it gently. Cover it again, cook it for a min. Add garam masala powder, give a stir.

* Step 8

Take a pressure cooker, transfer the veggies into it. Add 1/2 cup water, place the lid, give 1 whistle at high flame.

* Step 9

Switch off the flame as soon as second whistle starts. Allow it to depressurise. Open the lid after a while.

* Step 10

Take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with chopped dhania patta & slitted green chilli.

* Step 11

Have it with Nan, Roti or Paratha..
