ghee

oil

1/2 tsp

cumin seeds

1 tsp

chana dal

3 cups

hot water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take a kadhai, add broken wheat and a ghee.

* Step 2

Saute the daliya till it gives a nice aroma. Take out and keep aside. Next heat oil. Splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds.

Add chana dal and Gita urad dal.

As the takda is little fried add chopped onion, curry leaves, chillies, cashew bits and grated ginger.

Saute all for 2 minutes.

Next add sweetcorn and potato. Mix well.

* Step 1

Heat a kadhai with oil. Splutter cumin seeds. Add dry red chillies and gota urad dal. Add a dash of hing. As urad dal becomes little brown, add the lauki peels Next add salt and turmeric powder. Mix well. Saute for some time. Next add the coconut pieces.

Mix well. Add the tamarind pulp. Adjust sourness as per your taste. Mix again. Saute all together till the flavours combine well with each other. Then switch off the heat. Let chutney mixture come to room temperature.

Grind it into a smooth chutney. Transfer into a dish and prepare for tadka. Heat oil. Splutter rye and cumin seeds. Add dry red chillies and curry leaves.

* Step 1

Steam the small chopped carrots (add little salt), till it's cooked yet crunchy. Keep it aside.

Heat oil. Splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Add dry red chillies, curry leaves, gota urad dal and pounded garlic. As garlic becomes little brownish, add the steamed carrots

Add salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Stir fry for some time.

Next add the chopped vegetables and the peas. Add salt needed for the vegetables. Add turmeric powder. Cook till vegetables are softened.

In a kadhai dry roast rice rava till you get a little brownish tinge. Keep aside.

Next heat oil. Splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Add urad dal, chana dal. Put chopped onions, grated ginger, green chillies and curry leaves. Next add washed split moong dal. Mix and saute till onion becomes little brownish.

Next add salt and sambar powder. Mix. Add hot water. Let it all boil together.
