Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash the basa fillet nicely. Add salt, pepper powder, egg and cornflour. Mix well and keep for 30 minutes marination.

Prepare the sauce mixture.

Next heat oil. Fry the fishes. Don't make them rubbery by excessive frying.

Take out and keep aside.

Next heat oil. Saute garlic cloves. Next add ginger and chillies.

Next add in the onion and capsicum. Saute for some time till they are cooked yet crunchy.

Put fish masala. Mix well. Add the fried fishes. Put the prepared sauce mixture.

Mix all well. Now take the slurry of cornflour and mix it, as cornflour tends to settle at the bottom. Add the cornflour slurry. Mix and let it be in slow heat for 2-3 minutes.

turmeric powder

1/4th tsp

garam masala

1 tbsp

cornflour

20 ml

curry powder

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a mixing bowl put salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, pepper powder, garam masala, and cornflour Mix. Into this put paneer dice. Drizzle oil. Toss and mix, so that the paneer dice are well coated with the marinade. Keep the paneer for marination for at least 30 minutes. Next heat oil for shallow frying. Put marinated paneer pieces. Fry till little golden brown. Drain extra oil and transfer it into a vessel. Keep aside. Next heat oil for making chili paneer.

Put garlic cloves. Saute. Next add onion petals and tomato squares. Saute for some time. Next, add capsicum squares. Keep the heat high and keep sauteing. As the onion becomes translucent, add the sauces and vinegar. Mix well. Reduce heat. After a minute or two, add curry powder, black pepper powder, and sugar. Mix.

Next, add the fried paneer dice. Mix. Keep heat slow. Next in a small bowl make a slurry of cornflour with water. Put this slurry. Give a nice gentle mix.

Let it be on slow heat for a minute. Switch the flame off then. It's ready!! Spicy Indo-Chinese style chili paneer is ready to be served. Garnish with green onion and serve!!

* Step 1

Steam the bananas, let it cool. Then cut into thick circles. You can cut into any shape of your choice. Next add salt and cornflour. Mix. Put oil. Toss mix so that all the bananas are nicely coated. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile heat oil for deep frying. Put the marinated bananas and fry them till they become little golden. Do not overfry else it becomes too hard. Let it give a meaty feeling. Drain extra oil and keep aside.

Now heat a kadhai. Saute chopped garlic. Add grated ginger and saute. Next add fresh green chillies.

Next add chopped onion and saute all together till onion is brown. Next add the onion petals and capsicum squares. Add salt as needed. Also put black pepper powder. Mix and cook till capsicum is cooked yet crunchy. Next prepare sauce mixture in a bowl, by adding all the three sauces, vinegar and chicken masala.

Next add the fried bananas into the kadhai. Put the sauce mixture. Put little water.

Mix all well. Add some more black pepper powder and mix. IT'S READY!! Transfer on to a serving plate... sprinkle sesame seeds and serve!! (I'm keeping it dry) If you like to keep gravy then, take 1 tbsp cornflour, add water into it and make a lump free slurry. Add this slurry into the chilli banana. Cook till you get a nice gravy consistency of the chilli banana. Switch the flame off and serve hot with Chinese fried rice.

* Step 1

In a vessel, break eggs, add salt, pepper, and chicken masala. Add milk and whip mix. Heat pan with oil. Put egg mixture. As omelet is done cut it into regular or irregular pieces as your wish. Keep aside.

Next heat a kadhai with oil. Saute garlic. If you are adding ginger, add now. Add fresh green chilies and onion. Saute till translucent. Next, add capsicum. Add salt. Mix well. Cook for some time till capsicum is cooked yet crunchy. Add the sauces.

Mix the sauces with onion and capsicum. Now add the omelet pieces. Give a gentle mix. Add pepper powder and mix. Let it be on slow flame for some time. Do not overcook.

* Step 1

Take chicken in a mixing bowl, add above-mentioned ingredients for marination. Mix well and keep it marinated for 30 minutes in fridge.

Next cut the vegetables.Heat the oil for deep frying. Fry chicken at medium hot oil, till cooked and golden brown colour. Do not overfry it will become rubbery.

As chicken becomes golden brown. Strain the chicken, remove extra oil and keep aside. Now place a pan, put oil, heat it. Add garlic, ginger and green chillies. Next add onion and saute.

As onion becomes translucent, add the vegetables. Adding veggies is optional. But it enhances taste. Cook it, yet keep it crunchy. Add salt, soya sauce, chilli sauce, tomato sauce, black pepper powder and sugar. Mix all well. Add water covering the vegetables. Let it come to boil at slow flame.

Add cornflour slurry. Stir continuously to avoid any lumps. Let it come to boil. As gravy thickens, add the fried chicken pieces.

Mix well. Let it cook in slow flame.

Switch the flame off. Cover for a minute. Sprinkle some more black pepper powder and mix. Delicious chicken manchurian is ready to serve... Have it with fried rice/ chowmein/ triple Schezwan fried rice...
