As the Internet indicates their are different ways too make vegetable pasties . Curry Powder was mentioned as a flavouring which is good for those People that don't like Black Pepper etc. Salt and Black Pepper is a usual flavouring to a U.K. pastie

Ingredient

* Step 1

The roasted Vegetables were cooked the previous day over a Period of 2 hours. The Carrots and peeled Swede big chunks were cooked in a bit of Vegetable Oil for One hour on their own at Gas Mark 7 in the oven and then for the last One hour I roasted the peeled potatoes. Allow too cool in the Roasting Tin with Kitchen Foil over the top

* Step 2

Make the homemade Shortcrust Pastry, so put the Plain Flour and Salt either in your Kenwood Attachment Mixing Bowl or another large mixing bowl and then cube the Butter into small pieces and then use your Fingers too rub together the ingredients into a fine breadcrumb texture and then add the cold water. Use the Kenwood Dough Hook Attachment too blend into a ball, or use floured Hands too form into a ball

* Step 3

Dust with Plain Flour if needed and then wrap in Clingfilm and allow too rest in the Fridge for 2 hours

* Step 4

Next step is too shallow fry small diced onions for 3 minutes and very thin small sliced bits of Celery if using and then chop the cold cooked Carrots and Swede into the non-stick Frying Pan and then heat through for a little while and then add the seasoning - Salt and Black Pepper or Salt and Mild Curry Powder and then on a Plate use a Dinner Fork or small sharp Kitchen knife too mash or finely chop the cold cooked potatoes and then add too the mix. Allow too cool

* Step 5

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 6. Flour the Kitchen side with Plain Flour and then roll out your pastry with a Rolling Pin and then use a 11cm round pastry cutter or blob One and a half tablespoons of the Pie filling onto the Pastry and then cut with a small sharp Kitchen knife and then fold and seal with a egg wash, once done egg wash the top and side's and then eventually bake them all on Baking Parchment Paper on a Baking Tray at Gas Mark 6 for 20 minutes - maybe longer

I made the Recipe up . My Cauliflower , Cabbage - and Maris Piper Potatoes were all developing mould and so I boiled up the best bits and produced a flavoursome Cauliflower and Cabbage soup

Ingredient

* Step 1

Water wash the Cabbage several times in a large mixing bowl - the outer and then when chopped the inner segments of the Cabbage and then add all the Cabbage too the boiling water in the Cauldron saucepan

* Step 2

Add fresh cold tap water too a large Mixing Bowl and then water wash the outer whole Cauliflower - remove the outer Cauliflower Leaves before placing in cold water within the large mixing bowl - once the outer Cauliflower has been water washed - then get rid of the dirty cold water and then add fresh cold tap water too the large Mixing Bowl again and then add chopped up Cauliflower and Cauliflower Stalk too the cold water and then add too the hot boiling water

* Step 3

Boil on the hob stove on the highest hob heat and boil for a long time - keep checking that the Cabbage bits and Cauliflower bits are soft and that not too much boiling water has evaporated

* Step 4

Ten minutes before the end of cooking time add small peeled chopped Maris Piper Potatoes and then turn the hob heat off. Add the Crystallized Sea Salt too the chunky hot soup, or add Table Salt and then allow the chunky soup to go completely cold with a Wok Lid over the top and then blitz in a Nutri Ninja Blender or basic Blender and then add each blending too a very large Mixing Bowl

* Step 5

Thin the thick soup with 600ml of cold tap water - stir with a long metal Ladle or a normal long Wooden Spoon and then it's done. If you want some of it hot - then heat through in the Microwave or heat some gently in a Saucepan

I made the Recipe up . Rather than throw out the fruit tomatoes and old roasted Parsnips and Carrots I attempted too turn them into a soup as well as the best of the old raw Garlic , some of the Maris Piper Potatoes were sprouting , but the 2 Packets of Shop bought Coriander was fresh because I used them straight after buying them

Ingredient

4 tbsp.

Olive Oil

18 cloves

Garlic

12 pinches

Table Salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Place 4 tablespoons of Olive Oil in a large Wok. Add peeled chopped onions and fry on their own for 5 minutes and then add the tiny chopped peeled Maris Piper Potatoes, eventually add the peeled and water washed Garlic cloves and then add the 1200ml of cold tap water and then boil on the highest hob heat for 10 minutes. Add all the salt and black pepper

* Step 2

At the end of 15 minutes add the water washed whole raw tomatoes - with fresh cold tap water in a large mixing bowl add the raw fresh Shop bought Coriander too the water and then pick up the Coriander with your Fingers and add the water washed Coriander too the soup and then add the cold cooked Parsnips and Carrots - stir with a Wooden Spoon. Allow too cool at the end of 15 minutes - place Wok Lid over the top of the Wok

* Step 3

Later blend in a Electric Mains Blender and then heat through some of the soup for 5 minutes in a Saucepan or heat through with the use of a Microwave

All about the Roast potatoes mainly , but did Roast carrots as well , can Roast a couple of parsnips as well . Should be plenty of fat in the Roasting Tin . I Roasted my Potatoes in Beef Fat - Fat that came out of 2 Beef joints , but can Roast potatoes in Goose Fat , Duck Fat , Lamb Fat , Pork Fat , Vegetable Oil , Sunflower Oil

* Step 1

Just Roast in the oven at Gas Mark 4 for 4 hours. Turn the Potatoes and Carrots over after 2 hours and then season with Black Pepper and Table Salt if you don't have any Sea Salt

Did serve the chips with homemade Spam Fritters, but the Pancake Batter using Self-raising Flour did not make a proper batter

* Step 1

Place a cube of White bread into cold Vegetable Oil within the Wok and then heat the Vegetable Oil up on the hob on the highest setting and then when the cube of sliced bread browns take it out with a Slotted Spoon and then turn the hob down to the lowest setting and then add the raw chips. Simmer for 10 minutes and then transfer too a large Mixing Bowl and allow too rest in the Fridge for 3 hours

* Step 2

Use another cube of White bread in the used Vegetable Oil and heat the Vegetable Oil up on the highest hob setting - when the cube of bread browns then take it out and then add the partially cooked chips and deep fry on the highest hob setting for 6 minutes and then with a Slotted Spoon transfer the chips back into the large mixing bowl. Rest again for 3 hours

Maybe change the old Vegetable Oil for fresh Vegetable Oil and then deep fry the chips for the last time on the highest hob setting and deep fry for 10 minutes. Transfer the chips too a large Mixing Bowl with the use of a Slotted Spoon and then add Salt and Vinegar whilst the chips are very hot
