Made this on Basant Panchami, then realised they can be eaten hot any winter day too..Kesari Bhaat, flavoured with saffron and rich in ghee and nuts made my winter evening delightful..

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan. Add cardamom and cloves in it. Add soaked rice and saffron strands (edible colour if required)
* Step 2
Add water, twice the amount of rice added. Mix well,cover it with a lid and cook for 10 minutes at low flame. Make sure rice is half cooked. Add one cup sugar and 2 tbsp ghee in the pan.
* Step 3
Cover it with the lid back again and let it cook well (until complete water absorbs). Add raisins and chopped almonds+cashews. Serve hot..
