While I get a lot of joy from cooking everyday, I cook because I can control flavour and portion size and, most importantly, I know what I'm putting in my body.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Heat the oil in a pot, and start cooking the onions for 2 minutes. Add the carrots and lentil and cook for a few minutes
* Step 2
Add salt, vegetable cubes and water. Cover and let it cook for around 30minutes.
* Step 3
After 20-30minutes you’ll find a foam on the surface. Remove it with a spoon. The add the turmeric and cumin. Stir then cover and let it cook for a another 10 minutes
* Step 4
Take off the heat, using a hand blender, give it a blitz and that’s it! Serve with some parsley on top and crispy bread/croutons with a squeeze of lemon
