Mutton Pepper Masala (Chevon Pepper Masala)

South Indian style Delicious Mutton Dish, it will add life to your party, your Mutton lover friends will love it ! I tried this Mutton Pepper Masala of @cook_22849034 Sharanji. I kept the ingredients same just increased it as my mutton was more. He precooked the mutton in the pressure cooker with the dry masala powder, turmeric and salt to make in the restaurant style ( as in restaurant the meat has to be precooked for quick service ) but since I am not a fan of pressure cooked meat and it was being cooked at home so I cooked it slowly keeping ingredients same but in my method . It was Delicious #toc4 #cookpadindia

* Step 2

Heat oil in a pan or kadai, add the fresh chillies and onion and saute it for about 10 minutes. Add the curry leaves too. When the onion becomes translucent add the mutton pieces too and braise it along with the onion for about 10 minutes. Then add the salt and ginger garlic paste and cook it for another 5-10 minutes. Then add the grounded masala mix powder, add 1/4 cup water and bhunno meat with the masala for 5-10 minutes, add water if needed.

* Step 3

Add enough water and cook till mutton pieces are well cooked. Cooking time of mutton depends upon its quality and size of the mutton pieces. For me it took just another 45 minutes. Let the water dry off and when the oil seperates from the gravy, your mutton is ready. Serve with rice or roti. If you want more gravy kind add hot water & adjust it accordingly.
