Besan Burfi

Besan Burfi

Ingredient

Food ration :

8-10 people

Cooking time :

30-35 minutes
1/4 cup

ghee

1 cup

besan

2 tbsp

sooji(rava)

1/2 cup

sugar

1/4 cup

water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a large pan heat ghee and roast the besan and rava on low flame.

* Step 2

Stir continuously till the besan combines well on a low flame.

* Step 3

After 20-25 minutes when the mixture turns golden brown keep it aside.

* Step 4

In another pan take sugar and water to make syrup.

* Step 5

Transfer the sugar syrup over besan mixture and stir till it thickens.

* Step 6

Now add cardamom powder and mix well.

* Step 7

Transfer the mixture on a baking paper and set it on a plate and then later cut it into square pieces to look like burfi.

* Step 8

Garnish with few chopped cashew.

* Step 9

Let it set for 30 minutes and cut into square pieces.
