Ingredient

1+3/4 cups

all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp

baking soda

3/4 cup

caster sugar

1+1/2 tsp

vanilla extract

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mix lemon juice and water in a bowl. Keep it aside.

* Step 2

In another bowl, sieve and mix the dry ingredients.

* Step 3

Now grease the tin and spread butter paper. Also preheat the oven at 175 degree celcius.

* Step 4

Now take a mixing bowl and beat the butter and sugar together till it becomes fluffy. Also add the vanilla extract and beat.

* Step 5

Now gradually add the flour mixture and sour milk alternatively. Do not beat but gently fold the mixture.

* Step 6

Also make sure that you start with adding flour and end with flour. Fold the mixture to make a smooth batter.

* Step 7

Now pour the batter into the tin and bake it for 35-40 minutes. Check it with a toothpick.

* Step 8

Let the cake cool and then flip the tin to remove the cake.

* Step 9

Slice it and enjoy.
