Moong Dal Ka Halwa

Ingredient

2 cup

warm milk

1/2 cup

ghee

1 cup

sugar

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soak moong dal in water for at least 3 hours. Then drain out the water.

* Step 2

Grind it into a coarse paste using water. Also dissolve saffron strands into a tbsp of warm milk.

* Step 3

Heat ghee in a pan. Add the moong dal paste and cook for 25 minutes with continuous stirring.

* Step 4

Then add milk. Again cook for 5-7 minutes with continuous stirring.

* Step 5

Add sugar to the halwa. And cook for another 5-7 minutes on medium flame and stir continuously.

* Step 6

Then add saffron milk and cardamom powder. Mix it well. And let it be on medium flame for 4-5 minutes.

* Step 7

Make sure you stir it constantly. Serve it hot. Garnish it with almonds.
