Papaya Chana Dal Masala Curry

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak chana dal for 30 minutes after washing. Chop papaya, potatoes, and tomatoes, and grate ginger, and garlic. Set aside.
* Step 2
Pressure cook dal, chopped papaya, and potatoes for one whistle.
* Step 3
Heat cooking oil in a wide pan. Add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter. Mix chopped onion and fry till golden brown.
* Step 4
Add grated ginger and garlic and fry on low heat. Now mix chopped tomatoes and coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and a little water.
* Step 5
Cook till tomatoes soften and add chili powder. When the curry masala comes together, add the boiled papaya, potatoes, and chana dal and mix well. Adjust water and allow to boil.
* Step 6
Garnish with chopped coriander and serve the delicious curry with roti and/or rice.
