Snake gourd masala fry

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash the snake gourds, very well, peel off the skin after removing the two ends.
* Step 2
Chop the gourd to 3 pieces and each to two, longitudinally.
* Step 3
Remove the inner seeds and white parts. Then chop them as shown in photo.
* Step 4
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok.
Add and crackle ponch phoran. Then fry urad and chana dal,till golden brown,on low heat.
* Step 5
Then add chopped green chili and whole red chili. Sauté for some seconds.
* Step 6
Then add curry leaves and sauté till dried. Add grated ginger and sauté for few seconds.
* Step 7
Transfer the chopped gourd to the wok. Add salt and turmeric powder. Mix well, cover and cook on low flame till the veggies become soft.
* Step 8
Now add sambar powder and grated coconut. Mix well and cook on medium flames, till remaining water dried up.
