🍰 Basque Burnt Cheesecake

Always wanted to bake this simple yet firm taste cheesecake, I found the farm shop in Somerset.

Ingredient

Food ration :

18 cm

Cooking time :

1 hr
1 tablespoon

lemon juice

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

All ingredients to room temerature, as a first step

* Step 2

Preheat oven 220, in my case, and baked for 40 min. Prepare the tin covered with baking paper.

Mix the cheese and sugar.

Mix with room temperature eggs, one by one.

Add double cream, flour, vanilla beans and lemon juice. Mix lightly.

Pour the mixture into the tin

Put into the preheated oven for 40 min. 220 degree. As you will see below, I like burnt surface to enjoy the bit of bitterness.

After 40 min, in the oven it is very fluffy. Take it out from oven and cool it down so that the cake becomes more settle.

The cake is ready!! The images look a bit burnt, but it gives a really nice flavour and extra texture to enjoy the cake.
