Rasmalai Cake (mother's day special)
Rasmalai cake has been the internet sensation since last few months. It's got the flavour of rasmalai with chunks of delicious, soft and spongy rasmalai in the cream on top. It tastes yummy and gets finished within no time. I dedicate this lovely cake to my dearest Mom who is an outstanding chef herself and she is the epitome of love, kindness and caring. She is my hero! Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Chill all the ingredients and the vanilla sponge for 2 hours. Then slice the cake in 3 layers. Keep them separately on dry board. Also add cardamom powder and saffron milk to the sweet milk of rasmalai.
* Step 2
Now, place a dollop of cream on the cake board. Then place the base layer.
* Step 3
Then soak the cake with rabdi milk of rasmalai or the ras. (cardamom and saffron flavoured sweet milk of rasmalai)
* Step 4
Cover the layer with cream using spatula. Then arrange 2 to 3 chopped pieces of rasmalai on the cream. Press well.
* Step 5
Cover with 2nd cake layer. Repeat the above procedure. Then keep the top layer. Cover with cream.
* Step 6
Chill the cake for 20 minutes. Then spread top layer of cream and give finishing by smoothening with moist spatula and rotating on cake table. Chill again for 10 minutes.
* Step 7
Mix yellow food colouring in remaining half of cream and keep the other half white. Fill in separate piping bags attached with star nozzle.
* Step 8
Now pipe your favourite designs or rosettes on top and on sides.
* Step 9
Garnish with slices and half rounds of rasmalai, chopped nuts, silver sugar balls, dried rose petals and real rose petals too.
* Step 10
