Lauki Burfi

Lauki ( bottle gourd )Burfi can be prepared on festivals or eaten as a fruit diet on fasts. It is very easy to make, this fibrous and nutritious Lauki ki Burfi can be made for Diwali, your family will surely love it. #diwali2021 #navratri #festivetreats #shilpitandon

Ingredient

Food ration :

4-6 people

Cooking time :

30-35 minutes
1/4 cup

sugar

100 gram

khoya

1 tablespoon

desi ghee

1/2 cup

mix nuts

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Boil milk in a heavy bottom pan. Then add lauki and keep it boiling in medium flame for 7-8 minutes or until lauki becomes tender.

* Step 2

After some time it becomes little thick then add remaining ingredients one by one.

* Step 3

When we add sugar consistency becomes little runny. Keep stirring it for another 5-6 minutes or until it becomes solid.

* Step 4

Grease the tray and transfer this mixture into it and tap it. Decorate with nuts and kesar threads.

* Step 5

Once this becomes cool then refrigerate it for 2-3 hours. Then take out and cut into desired shape. Lauki Burfis are ready. You can store them in a container but because of milk and khoya its shelf life is only for 3-4 days.

* Step 6

You can have this Burfi in vrat and festivals also. These are homemade and super duper tasty.
