Batata wada Mumbai style

#morningbreakfast Batata wada is a Maharashtrian food.It can be eaten any time of the day with chutney and Pao as breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack.( Batata means Potato).

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mash boiled potatoes.

* Step 2

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Put Rye, when it splutters add garlic,green chillies and fry a little,put curry leaves.then add salt,chilli powder, turmeric powder,and mashed potatoes, coriander leaves and mix.let it cool.

* Step 3

Mix chickpea flour, rice flour,salt, baking soda.Make thick batter by adding water.keep aside for few minutes.

* Step 4

Heat oil in a wok for frying.Make small balls of Potato mixture. Dip them in the batter and deep fry till golden brown.

These wada,s can be eaten with chutney and with Pao or bread.And cutting chai (tea).
