Fruit and Nut Granola

Fruit and Nut Granola

I found a couple of basic granola recipes in my cook books and did some experimenting by combining them until I got something I liked. With this recipe, you can do a lot of customizing with the types of fruits, nuts, and seeds you use. It would also serve as a basic recipe to go off of if you want to try some new flavor combos on your own!

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C.

* Step 2

In a medium bowl, combine all the oats, wheat germ, coconut, nuts/seeds, salt, and cinnamon. Mix up with a large spoon.

Mix in the honey, coconut oil, and vanilla extract.

* Step 4

Spread over an oven sheet and bake for 30 minutes, mixing everything 10 minutes.

Remove from oven and mix in the dried fruit. Let cool to room temperature.

Store in a ziplock bag or container. Keeps indefinitely if stored in refrigerator!

Enjoy in a bowl with milk or over yogurt.
