Butter Chicken 🧈 πŸ”

I’ve had too many attempts at butter chicken and there’s a couple of more to go until I nail it. I hope you’re ready to experiment with me. Don’t be surprised if I post another butter chicken recipe πŸ˜‚ I’m just trying to do away with restaurants and buying me some much needed satisfaction.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mix chicken with all marinating ingredients, cover with cling firm and leave in the fridge overnight or for at least 2hours if you can’t afford much prep time

* Step 2

Heat 1 Tbsp of butter and 1 tsp of oil. Fry chicken pieces without overcrowding the pan until browned on both sides. Take cooked chicken out of the pan

* Step 3

In the same pan, add remaining butter and oil. SautΓ© onions until lightly browned. Add garlic and ginger and cook stirring until fragrant. Then add the chicken, tomato paste and a little water (about 1/8 cup) and let cook for 5 minutes to incorporate and let some of the water evaporate

* Step 4

Add yogurt and simmer for 10 minutes while frequently stirring
