I must confess that I was not too fond of
Cauliflowers. I could only have it as crispy fried with some spices sprinkled on them and that's it. Had a few florets laying in my fridge so thought I'the try my hands on this recipe. Koftas were served in a yoghurt based gravy which tasted just perfect. loved my first try and since then it has been cooked many times in my kitchen !
Ingredient
Food ration :
15 koftas
Cooking time :
45 minutes
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First for koftas- Mix all the ingredients for the koftas except the oil.
* Step 2
Mix well and make a dough. No water will be needed.
* Step 3
Prepare small lemon size koftas and deep fry on medium flame. I always fry 1 Kofta first to check if it's breaking. It was perfect. But if it breaks add 1 tsp maida in the dough.
* Step 4
Fry all the koftas and keep aside.
* Step 5
To prepare gravy- heat up oil, add cumin seeds and bay leaf, add ginger garlic paste, let it get golden brown colour then add onion paste.
* Step 6
Fry till onion changes colour. Grind soaked cashews and add this paste in the masala.
* Step 7
Add tomato paste, dry spices and salt.then add beaten yoghurt Fry on slow flame till the oil separates.
* Step 8
Add boiling water to make gravy. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
* Step 9
Add fried koftas, switch off the flame. Koftas will become softer in hot gravy.
* Step 10
You can heat it up on slow flame, they usually do not break.
