Purple sprouting broccoli egg dippers - gluten free egg soldiers
I once read that purple sprouting broccoli is a great alternative to toast to have with eggs. I saw this on a food blog ages ago and have been meaning to try it for a while now. And OH MY!! This is a brilliant combo. If you love eggs and want a satisficing gluten-free version of the rational eggy soldiers TRY THIS!
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Steam your broccoli for roughly 5 minutes so they are cooked and slightly al dente. Set aside.
* Step 2
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add your egg(s) and add a timer for 4 minutes for a runny yolk. At 4 minutes drain the hot water away from the egg and run under the cold water tap to cook the cooking and to be able to easily handle the hot egg. Place in an egg cup and season well. Dip your broccoli into your egg like you would normally with toast - delicious!
