Khasta Kachouri

Khasta kachori is famous in India and is made with stuff like peas, moong dal, and potatoes. But this recipe of kachori is made with an easy and simple stuffing of spiced onions.

Ingredient

1/4 bowl

Moong dal

2 tbsp

2 tbsp

Cooking Oil

1/4 tsp

Cumin seeds

1/4 tsp

Fennel seeds

1/4 tsp

Garam masala

1/4 tsp

Mango powder

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mix all-purpose flour, salt, and cooking Oil for moyan in a mixing bowl. Now knead a soft dough by adding water slowly. Cover it and keep it aside for 15 minutes.

* Step 2

Soak moong dal in water for 4 hours. Remove the water and coarsely grind it.

* Step 3

Heat oil in a wok. Add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds, and when they splutter add chopped onion and saute till golden brown colour. Add salt, red chili powder, garam masala, and mango powder. Now add grinded dal paste and roast it on low flame till it turns golden brown. The filling is ready.

* Step 4

Now knead the dough again. Take a small portion of the dough and make a ball. Flatten it and place prepared stuffing over it. The New is the edge of the dough to center and make a ball. Flatten it and roll it around.

* Step 5

Likewise, make all the kachoris.

* Step 6

Heat oil in a wok. Deep fry all kachoris till golden brown colour on low flame. 2 kachoris can be fried at a time.

* Step 7

Serve hot with potato subbji or chutney.
