Toor Dal and rice

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash toor(arhar) Dal and add salt and turmeric powder and pressure cook till 4 whistles.

* Step 2

In a karahi heat oil and put cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions, grated ginger and fry till golden brown colour comes. Add finely chopped tomato and cook till done. Add red chilli powder and garam masala. Mix this tadka in Daal. Cook for 2 minutes

Take a separate karahi heat oil and put cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add washed rice and salt. Put double quantity water and pcook till done.

Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
