Miale in agrodolce sweet and sour pork
Yes, even in Italy there's sweet and sour pork but it's NOT like the Chinese 😀 really yummy way to cook pork. Use the best quality balsamic vinegar you can find (from Modena of course) and any runny honey will do. I served it with roasted new potatoes with oregano #italian #pork #meat #dinner #mainmeal
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Preheat oven to 180. Wash and dry potatoes, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, pepper and oregano and pop in the oven for about 50-60 mins, shake a few times during cooking
* Step 2
Cut the pork into 4 decent chunks. Dust all over with flour, shake off excess, sprinkle with salt and pepper, set a side
* Step 3
With 20 mins or so until potatoes ready, heat butter and oil in a pan. Brown on all sides on medium heat.
* Step 4
Add balsamic and let it evaporate. Then add honey, stir and add stock. Cover and simmer on low for about 15 mins or until cooked, turning once or twice. When ready, remove pork and keep warm. Reduce the sauce on high heat for 2-3 mins stirring frequently
