Green Mango Dal

A sinful indulgence with Green mango or Raw mango with Tuvar Dal. Can be enjoyed with Rice or Roti or just on its own

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak the Dal for 1 hr. In a pressure cooker add the drained dal, green mango wedges, turmeric powder, 3 cups water, salt, ginger-garlic paste and on high flame cook for 3 whistles or until Dal is cooked
* Step 2
Depressurise and mash the Dal a little. Set aside
* Step 3
For Tempering - in a wok heat ghee, add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and Rai. Once it splutters add sliced onion, slit green chillies, curry leaves and cook till onions are softened.
* Step 4
Add coriander powder and stir for 1 min. Set aside
* Step 5
Add the tempering to the Dal, add little jaggery and simmer for 5 mins. Set aside
* Step 6
Garnish with slit green chilli, mango wedge and enjoy
