Easy Lakadi Mithai(Fiji Style) with Toyohira's Apple Jam

Easy Lakadi Mithai(Fiji Style) with Toyohira's Apple Jam

Ingredient

1 tablespoon

Sesame seeds

1 teaspoon

Butter

2 cups

Water

2 tablespoon

Lemon juice

180 g

Sugar

1 tablespoon

Salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mix butter and flour together till it becomes fine bread crumbs

* Step 2

Add sesame seeds and mix it quickly

* Step 3

Add water gradually and make a dough that is not too soft/hard.

* Step 4

Roll the dough into a ball shape, flatten it and then coat it with dry flour.

* Step 5

Take it and roll it to about 4mm in thickness.

* Step 6

Cut it into 3 sections, and cut each section into thin strips.

* Step 7

To cook Lakadi Mithai, put it on medium to low heat and heat up some oil

* Step 8

When your oil gets hot, deep fry Lakadi Mithai till it becomes light golden color

* Step 9

To make apple jam, put water and salt in a bowl

* Step 10

Peel apples and remove cores

* Step 11

Cut into quarter slices and soak in bowl.

* Step 12

Take apples out of the bowl and add sugar and lemon juice on a medium heat pan

* Step 13

When it boils, cook it for 30 minutes on low heat

* Step 14

Mix Lakadi Mithai and jam together
