Potato Grits

Potato grits or Aaloo ki Kees, is yer another way to include potatoes in your fasting diet. Goes well as an easy and yummy breakfast or snack

Ingredient

Food ration :

Cooking time :

7 mins
1.5 teaspoon

sendha salt

2 tablespoon

grated coconut

1 tablespoon

cumin seeds

1 tablespoon

oil

as needed

Water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Grate the potatoes fine and keep them soaked in cold water to avoid oxidation m,until used

* Step 2

Heat oil in a saucepan and temper with green chillies and cumin seeds

* Step 3

As the seeds temper, squeeze the water from the soaked potato and add them to the saucepan

* Step 4

Sauté for 2-3 minutes on medium to Low heat

* Step 5

Add salt, ground peanuts and sauté further on Low heat for 2-3 minutes

* Step 6

Now cook covered until the potatoes soften

* Step 7

Once done, take off heat

* Step 8

Serve hot garnished with grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves
